Januártól elérhető könyvtárunkban a legfontosabb magyar szakkönyvkiadók műveit digitális formában kínáló SZAKTÁRS adatbázis portál valamennyi gyűjteménye. Az előfizetésünkben már eddig is szereplő kiadókon túl (Argumentum, Gondolat, Kalligram, Napvilág, Osiris, Századvég) további, összességében közel 30 hazai kiadó művei között böngészhetünk. Elérhetőek többek között a Balassi, a Kortárs, a Kriterion, valamint a Múlt és Jövő Kiadó könyvei, de kutathatunk a Szent István Társulat kínálatában is. A kiadók gyűjteményei mellett számos új exkluzív tartalom szerepel a SZAKTÁRS teljes kínálatában, így például a RETÖRKI-kiadványok vagy a Szegedi Tudományegyetem kiadványai is rendelkezésre állnak.

Please note that the following opening hours will apply at the library during the holiday season:

•    On 20 December and 22 December 2025, we are open as usual, i.e. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. respectively.
•    On 23 December 2025, the library will close at 1 p.m.
•    From 24 December 2025 until 4 January 2026 the library will stay closed.
•    Regular opening hours will resume from 5 January 2026.

A görög kultúrával való foglalkozás, annak ismerete az ókor vége felé a Római Birodalom nyugati részében fokozatosan elsorvadt. A nyelv ismerete nem tűnt el nyomtalanul, de egyrészt csak a görög gyakorlatban való használatát jelentette – például a tolmácsolást –, másrészt csak egy kisszámú emberre korlátozódott. Ez Magyarországon sem volt másképp, erre utal például az a tény, hogy II. Izsák bizánci császár teológiai kérdésekről görögül levelezett Jób esztergomi érsekkel.

We kindly inform you that on Friday, 10 October 2025 the library closes at 12:00 due to technical reasons. On 11 October, however, our regular Saturday opening hours (10:00-18:00) will apply.

Starting from 15 September 2025 for 90 days the library provides access to Taylor & Francis eBook collections as part of a trial, during which fee-paying patrons may browse and use 176,000 full-text publications on the territory of the library as well as off-site.
